Radical Care

Edit was invited to present at the Architectural Association as part of Projective Cities’ seminar series, Radical Care, alongside Julian Siravo and Gianna Bottema in November 2019.

 

Edit presented part of the ongoing research project, Honey, I’m Home, discussing ideas around living more collectively, both within and outside of the traditional family unit. The research interrogates the relationships within our built and social environment at a series of scales.

Through the lense of gender performativity, the lecture explored how the western home functions as a script of ritualistic performances, how the room behaves as a set, the objects within it as props, and in conclusion, how the city itself becomes a theatre.
